Sept. 18 registration update

Thank you for your patience while we have worked to resolve the registration issue. There is going to be a change to the registration process. Please read the instructions below. We understand that this is not ideal, but these are the changes that need to be made in order to allow for Boston registration to work.

Registered advisers: If you already have a registration existing and you need to add more students to it, you will not be allowed to modify your registration. You will need to make an entirely new registration with the new student as the primary registrant. If you need the confirmation email for bookkeeping purposes, you will need to change the primary registrant’s email address to a secondary email that is personal to you. If you do not have a secondary email account, you may use your publication or station email address. This would be an email that you did not use for your first registration. The primary registrant is the first person you enter in the registration process. This registration receives the confirmation email and aside from that, there is no difference between the primary registrant and the guest registrants.

Need to make a change to your already existing registration that does not include adding a student? Send an email to Karli Keith, karli@studentpress.org, and she will take care of the registration change. These changes would include making changes to media tour selections, Break with a Pro, pre-convention workshops, Best of Show, luncheon tickets, merchandise ordering and anything else that does not involve adding more students to the registration.

Advisers planning to register: If you have not registered for the convention yet, please note that you will need to complete as much as you can in your first attempt to register. If you need to make changes and add more students, you will need to make an entirely new registration with your next student as the primary registrant. Again, if you need to make changes to your registration that does not include adding more students, please contact Karli, karli@studentpress.org, and she will be happy to assist.

If you are a first-time attendee, don’t worry. We are here to help you through the process. Reach out to Karli at the email above.

Hotel information will be sent to all registrants at 10:30 am CT today.

Why conventions matter
